When rich people dine in the restaurant, he gets copies of their signatures. Then he tries to have himself arrested. Batman deduces that the Penguin is trying to have the signatures forged by an incarcerated criminal. Batman and Commissioner Gordon conspire to keep the Penguin out of jail, until Batman tricks the Penguin with a phony signature. When Penguin finally gets his forgery made, the signature is incorrect, so he is arrested for fraud |

Once she begins wearing the idol, Lois is targeted by the assassins. Superman saves her, then takes the idol himself. When the assassins strike at him, they fail. He then uncovers a radio transmitter in the idol. He then visits Hayes in the hospital and prevents his partner Keith Langwell from killing him. Langwell used the idol to lure the assassins to his partner, so that he could take his share of a recently discovered fortune. |

However, Malone is really their old enemy the Brain Wave, who has tricked them into subjecting themselves to dreams of his making. Hawkman dreams of a war between fire and ice and emerges thinking he is a thermometer. Dr. Mid-Nite fights in a world of giant germs, where he winds up believing he is a living disease. Green Lantern awakens from his dream believing he is a solar system. Flash encounters a land of talking animals where he becomes a laughing stock. The Atom is convinced that he is a sponge. Only Johnny Thunder seems unaffected, though his dreams appear to have brought him sanity. Once the entire JSA is awakened from their dreams, they behave as they did in the dreams. Brain Wave and his crooks humiliate them, but Johnny summons his Thunderbolt. The Thunderbolt shocks the group back to normal, where they can battle and defeat the crooks. Johnny is restored to normal too, when he is struck in the head. |

During a test of the metal, the metal seems to work. However, Wonder Woman is suspicious. Dr. Novel steals her magic lasso, then replaces it with a phony. When the Amazon uses her lasso on the scientist forcing him to tell the truth about the anti-atomic metal, Novel is able to lie convincingly. The government then awards him a billion dollar contract. Wonder Woman eventually discovers that her real lasso was stolen. She sends the Holliday Girls undercover to Novel's laboratory where they uncover evidence of Novel's fraud. Novel captures Wonder Woman with the real magic lasso. Etta Candy is able to provide a distraction, allowing Wonder Woman to escape and prevail. |

Green Lantern stops them from succeeding with the help of Doiby Dickles, who clumsily lands on the crooks after getting a bedspring stuck in his pants. |

The men, Hoke and Pedro, are kite manufacturers. They let the boys fly some special kites until a plane comes along and snags them. Clark becomes suspicious when he notices that the kites were rigged to break. The following day, Clark watches the kids take some new kites into the sky. His x-ray vision reveals that a timer is set to cut the strings. He follows the runaway kites into the air and spots the same plane from the day before. Superboy brings down the plane and exposes the kite builders as counterfeiters. The men were transporting the phony money in the kites to their accomplice in the plane. |
